The above is a copy of the Proclamation that was passed by the City Council of the City of El Paso to coincide with the dedication of the Gene Roddenberry Planetarium by the El Paso Independent School District on October 4, 2002.  As a side note:  the  Space Age began on October 4, 1957  when  Sputnik was launched.
